Polk Audio HD Radio announced

Polk Audio has announced that it will soon release a Polk Audio HD Radio called the I-Sonic™ entertainment system with I-Sonic and Power Port technologies.

Polk Audios claims it is the first radio to offer HD Radio™ technology with a DVD player and XM-Ready satellite radio technology, making it a total entertainment solution.

You can connect the I-Sonic system to a TV for a complete, compact, high performance audio/video entertainment solution.

The I-Sonic™ entertainment system plays:

  • Digital AM and FM HD Radio for the clearest, best sounding radio reception. Enjoy CD-quality sound from FM digital broadcasts and FM-quality stereo on the AM dial!

  • Standard AM and FM radio

  • XM satellite radio available with optional Connect & Play XM antenna*

  • Music CDs, including MP3 music discs DVD video discs

  • External iPod, MP3 and other personal portable players through Auxiliary inputs

    The iSonic Entertainment System is expected to retail for about $599.
